We ended up a very unusual year, with a total of 731 sales. Then January 2021 broke another sales record!
Following the tail end of a hot real estate market in 2020 (well hot in the last 6 months of the year), the number of sales in January hit an all-time high. There were more sales in January 2021 than January 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017 and prices are rising.
In January 2021 there were a total of 93 sales:

21 shared ownership
15 Phase 1 condos and townhomes
8 Phase 2 condos
6 Vacant lots
5 Residential condos townhomes
2 Employee townhomes
1 Parking Stall
1 Timeshare

In PEMBERTON, we had a total of 23 sales: 12 single family homes, 5 townhomes, 3 vacant lots, 2 condos and one single family homes on acreage. Of the 12 single family homes that sold, eleven of them were in Tiyata Village and Sunstone - so some lucky families are going to be moving into beautiful, brand new homes.
There are now a total of 265 listings in Whistler (all types of properties including timeshares and parking stalls) and a total of 33 listings in Pemberton – a quite significant drop in inventory in both Whistler and Pemberton.
The statistics attached show the total dollar volume of sales and number of sales in each category - chalets (single family homes), condominiums, Phase 1 condos, Phase 2 condos, duplexes, shared ownership, town-homes and vacant lots. It also has the total of all of these categories. This includes all sales reported by all of the real estate companies in Whistler.
